In June, 2021, I started a business called Juniper & Eve. My brand creates sustainable underwear for people across the gender spectrum, and specializes in gender-affirming garments. Juniper & Eve was featured in an article for Harpers Bazaar Vietman, and was an official business partner of Pride Toronto in 2021.
Visit Juniper & EveIn October 2022, I took an Intro to Coding course through SheCodes and fell in love with coding! I am currently working through the full range of SheCodes courses and am learning front-end web skills, such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Responsive, Bootstrap and React. This portfolio is my final project for the SheCodes Responsive course; check out the source code on my GitHub for this and other projects!
Try out my Weather AppAn artist-at-heart, I love to create beautiful and useful things. My sartorial practice began as a child when my mother taught me to sew. I later went on to study at George Brown College, completing the Essential Skills for Fashion ConEd program in 2017. Aside from running my business, I've create custom bridalwear, steampunk costumes and corsetry, and am working on a personal capsule wardrobe. Away from the sewing machine, I am exploring graphic design and hope to take courses in both photography and animation in the future.
Check out my work on InstagramAfter high school, I attended the Univeristy of Waterloo and completed my Bachelor of Environmental Studies in 2013, graduating from the co-op program with honours. I continue to nurture my passion for the outdoors by attending lectures on sustainable fashion and business development, incorporating what I learn into my business and artistic practices. I am an avid hiker, canoeist and swimmer, and spends as much time as possible out of doors.
